Measure P

Measure PS was passed in November 2008 to fund the repair and modernization of the District’s existing schools and for the improvement of the school facilities throughout the District. Measure P was passed in November 2016 to fund the construction and refurbishment of classrooms and school buildings, modernize technology in the classrooms, and install campus security cameras and lighting at schools throughout the District. As a requirement of the passage of these bond measures, the District must establish an Independent Citizens' Oversight Committee (ICOC). The ICOC members are responsible for monitoring expenditures in the bond fund to verify that the District is spending citizens’ tax dollars responsibly and in accordance with the terms of the bond measures. The ICOC members are also responsible for receipt and review of the yearly bond audit report and for providing an annual report to taxpayers.
