School Site Committees 101 Parent-Guardian Workshop
Hello PUSD Parents/ Guardians, and Community Members,
Have you ever wanted to get more involved in your child's education by joining one of the parent committees at your school, but you are unsure what the parent committee is about? Our district is providing a summer workshop on SCHOOL SITE COMMITTEES on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the District’s Strategic Planning Room. There will be refreshments and raffles!
The workshop will provide an overview of the various school site level committees that are offered at your school (School Advisory Committee, English Learner Advisory Committee and School Site Council), their roles and responsibilities, and how parents/ guardians, and/or community members can provide input/ recommendations to the school programs and students’ academic achievement. If you would like to get more involved in your child’s school, we highly encourage you to take time and attend the SCHOOL SITE COMMITTEES 101 workshop and learn more about the various committees at your school and become an active member for the 2024-2025 school year. For more information, please see the attached flyer or contact the State and Federal Programs department at (909) 397-4800 x23620.
