Program Registration Process
-
Kindergarten registration begins in February.
-
Parents interested in the Dual Language Immersion Program must complete a separate application.
-
The program balances Spanish and English-dominant students — half of the kindergarten spaces are reserved for native Spanish speakers.
-
Applicants will take a language proficiency assessment.
-
Students not immediately placed will be put on a waitlist, and families will be notified by the end of June if a space opens for the fall.
-
Parents must sign a DLI Parent Compact to finalize enrollment.
-
Parents of English Learners must also sign a Parent Exception Waiver to choose the DLI program instead of the Structured English Immersion (SEI) program.
-
In the future, the DLI program will be part of the PUSD school of choice lottery system.
