Student Support Services

Supporting Parents, Students, and Teachers in Elementary Schools

We provide support students (K-5), their parents and teachers, and school sites to promote safety and success in the school environment.

Who We Serve

Students in K-5 Elementary Schools, in a General Education classroom who have been referred to School Mental Health Services. Each referral is reviewed to determine if the student fits the SSS Criteria.

What We Do

In collaboration with PUSD's Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) the Student Support Specialists use a trauma-informed behavioral approach to create support plans and provide extra SEL lessons to students in PUSD's elementary schools.
