About Us
The vision of The Department of Pupil Resources is to meet the needs of ALL our students by focusing on the well being of the whole child. We see a school system that reaches every student through the creation of a systemic, collaborative, equitable, and compassionate approach from elementary grades through high school and beyond. We will STRIVE to meet this goal by fostering a protected environment in which our students are free to develop to the best of their abilities. This includes improving outcomes despite disproportionate access to resources caused by life challenges that may affect the learning process and the lives of our students. Through collaboration, we will improve the academic outcomes, address the personal social needs of our students, and prepare them with skills not only promoting college and career readiness but to also support them toward being successful in their personal lives as well.
The mission of The Department of Pupil Resources is to maintain, uphold, and raise awareness in compliance with compulsory education laws, enrollment, student discipline procedures, transfers, records, and school climate. This will be achieved through a multi-tiered / multi-domain system of support. Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) coupled with a comprehensive school counseling program will monitor and respond to the needs of ALL of our students using a data-driven, evidence-based, compassionate, and comprehensive process. This will reduce suspensions/expulsions, chronic absenteeism, dropout rates, and will improve school stability, graduation rates, and college and career readiness. Additionally, Pupil Resources will continually monitor health and safety best practices to foster, encourage, and promote a protected learning environment.
