College, Career and Workforce Development Task Force (LA P3)

The College, Career & Workforce Development Taskforce (CCWDT) and Los Angeles Performance and Partnership Pilot (LA P3).

The Taskforce started about 17 years ago, during the Great Recession, and it has evolved to a multi-agency partnership with Pomona USD, Pomona Chamber of Commerce, LA County Workforce Development, Aging and Community (WDAC) Division and San Antonio ROP.  Usually, about 30-50 individuals attend representing business, industry, non-profits, public, private and other agencies.

The purpose of the Taskforce is the following:
•    Share updated information about the programs in our agencies
•    Learn more about services that the agencies/business provide to our community
•    Reduce agencies costs by minimizing duplication of services and provide referrals to partnering agencies that provide specialized services to our community.

Over time, there has been much synergy resulting from the meetings, and in the last 16 years, the LA Co WDAC Division has identified the Taskforce as a Performance and Partnership Pilot that is considered a model best-practice in Los Angeles County.

The College, Career & Workforce Development Task Force and Los Angeles Performance Pilot Program (LA P3) Meeting will be meeting virtually on Thursday. The meeting Agenda and Zoom Meeting details will be sent prior to meeting.
