Lisa Nashua, Ph.D.

Dr. Lisa Nashua was elected to represent Trustee Area 1 in November 2022. Her current term extends through November 2026.
A proud product of public education, Dr. Nashua began her academic journey in the Head Start program at Dan T. Williams Elementary and graduated from Rosemead High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Claremont McKenna College, a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne, and a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Multiculturalism, Diversity, and Student Services from Claremont Graduate University.
With more than two decades of experience in higher education and the arts, Dr. Nashua has dedicated her career to advancing student success, expanding access to the arts, and promoting technical training that benefits local communities. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles City College Foundation.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nashua has championed opportunities for students across the educational spectrum—from K–12 through college—while raising funds to support scholarships and academic programs in collaboration with administrators, educators, and local elected officials.
