PUSD defines a Community School as a school where students, families, staff, and community partners work together to enhance the success and well-being of all students. This approach focuses on meeting students’ academic, emotional, and physical needs, while also addressing challenges that may affect their learning and growth.

PUSD Community Schools are committed to helping every student and family succeed. We remove barriers and provide support so every student is prepared for success in high school and beyond.
Vision
We believe the best way to reach our Community Schools mission is by learning and working together as a team. We imagine a school where all staff members:
- Come together with shared goals and a common purpose
- Work as teams that support and depend on one another
- Try out new and effective ways to help students learn and grow every day
- Check how each student is doing often, using data and tools to see what’s working
- Show real care and commitment to every student’s learning, success, and overall well-being—and to their families, too
