Welcome to PUSD’s Accountability & Assessment Dept website. We are passionate about supporting student learning through the science behind the cycle of continuous improvement rooted in data! Our department supports data collection, reporting, analysis, and dissemination to support decision making. We believe that learning is possible for ALL and data is our compass to guide us there. As the African Proverb says, “If you want to fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” We invite you to collaborate in order to affect deep and meaningful change!

Through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, we transform data into insight and insight into action—bridging learning gaps and connecting classroom practice to positive student outcomes.

Accountability & Assessment is committed to creating comprehensive systems and processes for a well-balanced assessment cycle that:

1. is seamlessly integrated into daily instructional practices,
2. empowers educators with actionable data insight to be used as a compass that drives college and career-ready outcomes for ALL students,
3. and supports the district-wide culture of equity and mutual accountability.
