Pomona Unified’s Educational Services GATE Program hosted Gateway to the Stars, a space-themed family night for Cluster 1 students in grades 3–8, at Barfield Elementary. About 40 students and their parents rotated through six hands-on STEAM stations: stomp rocket launches, SAM Labs coding, galaxy pastel art, space tangrams, air-powered spinning machines, and an active P.E. challenge. Thank you to Barfield Elementary for hosting, and to the Teacher Specialists, Cluster 1 GATE Facilitators, and high school volunteers who supported the event. The next GATE event, Minds in Motion, is December 5, 2026.
