It was an honor to hear from the students of Pantera Elementary School, Lorbeer Middle School, and Diamond Ranch High School who took part in this week’s City Council meeting.
I appreciate the students who took the time to speak, share words of encouragement, write letters to the Council, and put together thoughtful gift baskets. It was wonderful to see them taking an active role in their community and sharing their appreciation with us.
A special thanks to the students from Golden Springs Elementary, Pantera Elementary, Lorbeer Middle School and Diamond Ranch High School for their organizing, participation and dedication to our community. Their involvement in the MLK “Realizing the Dream” project and the 9/11 Patriots Day encourages students throughout the district to give back through community service and learn what it means to be good citizens
Included in the gift basket was a book called The Gratitude Express. The title couldn’t be more fitting for how I feel about this thoughtful gesture. I am truly grateful to each of the students for their kindness, encouragement, and the time they took to make this evening special.
