hello my name is t Arthur cotm film and multimedia teacher here at Village Academy High School students use all of the current industry standard film equipment and professional editing software to make their films and news segments they're given a lot of creative freedom while also learning the fundamentals of film making such as using a camera audio lighting techniques among other skills the students here are are always collaborating while working on projects together this program is 1 of the things that makes this school special we have a small but strong Community especially in our film and academic programs here at Village Academy the students have won over 30 Awards in the last 3 years her PSA is that they've made for the Statewide directing change competition and the countywide tobacco use prevention education program we've also had film screen in competition at the world's largest High School Film Festival the All-American high school film festival in New York in may we have our own film showcase called the pindis at our very own on campus movie theater it's a multiplex that's been recently renovated with new seats new projectors and new audio systems we've also created Pathways for our students to have opportunities in the film and television industry Beyond Village Academy so 1 example of this is our students participation in the film to Future program in which students work on live-action and animated projects with the guidance of actual Hollywood film industry professionals my experience has been really fun it's been really exciting I've been here for 3 years so it's been really excellent and amazing that I've been able to work with Mr cotm who has brought so many opportunities for us I've been a part of the film program for approximately 3 years having access to both professional software and Equipment courtesy of the program ultimately not only prepares me for a possible career in the industry but ultimately allows others to pursue a career themselves in my experience at boom I've been doing this for over 2 years already and I've won countless Awards already being in the film program has helped me found my passion for film and I'm happy to be here I'm new to this film program and so far I've learned to really enjoy enjoy it I love getting to be creative and working with friends all the time and it's honestly like the highlight of my day I love going to this class yeah we hope to see you guys here in the future if you're interested in film making or you think you might be interested in film making Village Academy High School is the place Envy space is limited so we ask that you apply as soon as possible and join us here at Village Academy High School
