Mireya Jimenez is an accomplished educator and leader at Westmont Elementary School, where she teaches 5th and 6th grade. She is recognized as the 2025 California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) Teacher of the Year and recipient of the Alma Flor Ada Award for Social Justice. Her career reflects a deep commitment to equity, biliteracy, and student success.
She has served in numerous leadership roles, including PBIS, Equity, and Dual Language committees, and was instrumental in developing PUSD’s Dual Language Master Plan. A dedicated mentor and trainer, she supports teachers, leads professional development, and empowers families through parent workshops.
Ms. Jimenez’s extensive contributions—ranging from curriculum development to student activities—demonstrate her passion for education and her lasting impact on students, staff, and the community.
