Preparing for the Future: Enrollment and Summer Learning Updates for Families

Parent Leads Meeting Recap –

The March 11, 2026 Parent Leads Meeting brought together district leaders and families for an informative discussion focused on student enrollment, planning ahead, and exciting summer opportunities for Pomona Unified students.

Families first heard from Patty Ibanez from Pomona Unified School District Information Technology Services, who provided a helpful overview on how families can prepare for re-enrollment. Parents learned what steps to take, what information to review, and how to ensure their student’s information is up to date for the upcoming school year.

Next, Cesar Casarrubias, Director of Pomona Unified School District Pupil Resources, discussed the importance of being proactive when enrolling students. He shared guidance for families enrolling new students and explained the process for families considering transfers within or outside the district, helping parents better understand timelines and requirements.

The meeting concluded with updates from Alan Pantanini, Director of the Pomona Unified School District Expanded Learning Program, who shared exciting information about the upcoming Summer STEAM Academy. Hosted in partnership with Think Together Learning Center (TLC), the program will provide students with engaging science, technology, engineering, arts, and math learning opportunities this June.

Thank you to all the families and district leaders who participated in this informative session and continue to support student success across Pomona Unified.
