Pantera Students Shine with Kindness and Culture at Pomona’s Lunar New Year Celebration 🧧✨

The spirit of kindness and culture was on full display at Pomona’s Citywide Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 13!

The Pantera RTD Kindness Club spread joy throughout the festival by creating handmade paper fortune cookies filled with positive messages and beautifully illustrated index cards tucked inside traditional red envelopes. Festival attendees were greeted with words of encouragement and kindness at the booth, thanks to the thoughtful work of these dedicated students.

Students also volunteered alongside Lorbeer’s CJSF members, demonstrating teamwork and community pride. The celebration continued with an exciting dragon and lion dance performance by Lorbeer Dual Immersion students, captivating the crowd with vibrant movement and tradition. Students also presented ceremonial scrolls to city public officials, honoring the significance of the Lunar New Year.

The festival opened on a high note as Caleb Lee delivered a powerful rendition of the National Anthem, setting the tone for a day filled with unity and celebration.

Dr. Roberta Perlman, along with many Pomona administrators, teachers, and parents, volunteered and participated throughout the day, showcasing the strong partnership between schools and the community.

It was a beautiful celebration of culture, service, and Pantera pride! 🧧✨
