Garey High School’s Dragon and Lion Dancers brought energy, grace, and cultural pride to the LACOE Equity & Wellness Conference in Long Beach on October 29–30, 2025. After hearing about our students’ remarkable talent, LACOE invited the team to perform to kick off Day 1 of the conference—a true honor for Pomona Unified School District (PUSD).
The students were simply incredible. Their commitment to excellence was evident in the energy, precision, and synergy they brought to every movement, filling the room with excitement and admiration. Conference participants shared glowing feedback about the poise and talent of our Garey High School performers, whose artistry set a powerful tone for the event—inviting everyone to learn more about ourselves and one another by honoring culture and its beautiful traditions.
Their stunning performance earned a standing ovation, and we could not be more proud. Shout out to Mr. Martinez and Mr. Bonner for facilitating the process and making it happen. The Garey High School Dragon and Lion Dancers, together with the PUSD Equity and Professional Learning Team, proudly represented PUSD and the vibrant spirit of our students and community.
