SUPERINTENDENT’S END OF YEAR MESSAGE – 2025 2025 End of year message Show Transcript hello Pomona Unified School District Because Of You the 2425 school year has been another successful year and I want to thank you all for your outstanding work we would also like to honor Matthew Mazo a special education teacher at Diamond Ranch High School who is PC Teacher of the Year Mr misel exemplifies this outstanding dedication and commitment of Pomona unified school district teachers and staff we thank him for all of his outstanding work this year Pomona was also awarded its seventh Golden Bell board that's 1 of California's highest educational honors and it was awarded because of our partnership with Western University of Health Sciences they work every weekend to empower our students as Health Care Professionals Pomona Unified School District also received the prestigious exemplary School University partnership award this is because of our collaboration with the University of Leber's lafetra College of Education making educational resources accessible to our families and community we'd also like to thank our board of education for their support and all of our programs throughout the district but mainly for the music and Band program we got to give new instruments to our fifth and sixth graders as a result enrollment jumped by 50% our ch child development program this year is being recognized as a program of Excellence making it 1 of the best Head Start programs in the nation Golden Springs and Pantera Elementary Schools became California distinguished schools this year our students volunteered and over 21,000 hours to the realize the dream campaign demonstrating their commitment to Unity community and service it's because of your hard work and commitment that we have reached these achievements and more importantly that we have taught students in the importance of giving back to their Community if our job and education is to touch both the minds and hearts of our students in our classrooms this school year proves that we are succeeding again I want to thank you all for everything that you you do I want you to have a wonderful summer enjoy yourselves and we welcome you back for the 2526 school year where we're going to continue our excellence and Student Success is our success Published May 27, 2025 Print
