Pomona Unified was well represented at the Los Angeles County Math Field Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025 by the first place teams from our District Math Field Day. The fourth, fifth, and sixth grade teams came from Pantera Elementary and the seventh and eighth grade teams were from Lorbeer. Our fourth grade team took home the Bronze Medals for Conceptual Understanding and our eighth grade team took not only the Silver Medals for Sense Making, but also the trophies for Best Overall 8th Grade Team! Congratulations to all the students who participated and the teachers who mentored them.

They were coached by Christine Unger, Liang “Lisa” Gao, Chen Guo, Cynthia Campos, and Vuthy Tim.
