The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) honors one exceptional educator annually as the CABE Teacher of the Year at its professional learning conference. It is with great pleasure that we congratulate Ms. Mireya Jimenez, who has been selected as this year’s CABE Educator of the Year for the state of California. Ms. Jimenez teaches 6th grade in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion program at Westmont Elementary. Nominated by her colleagues, she successfully navigated a competitive and thorough application process. With over 25 years of service to our students, Ms. Jimenez is deeply committed to supporting the Westmont Cobras in fostering and celebrating their bilingualism and biliteracy.
