GATE Speed Cube Day was last Saturday, November 16, 2024. We had about 60 students in grades 3 – 12 participate. Students learned how to solve a 3x3 Speed Cube (Rubik’s Cube), explored unusual puzzle cubes, including ones shaped like fruit, giant Rubik’s Cubes, 5x5 cubes, and cube sets with which students could create mosaics. The highlight of the day was the competition. Students were broken into 3 Divisions – Elementary for grades 3 -5, Middle School for grades 6 – 8, and High School for grades 9 – 12. The winners for each division are shown below:
Elementary
