As State Winners our students have secured $15,000 in Samsung Technology; as well as, moving on to the second round of competition for the National Level recognition at $50,000!!
Our main objective is to significantly reduce vaping among teenagers through:
- Students in the Inventing-Designing team will build a device for the accurate detection of specific vaping chemicals.
- Students in The Community Public Relations team will reach out to professors at nearby universities such as Western University of Health Science to gain access to laboratory space, obtain guidance, identify resources, and contact scientists.
- Students in The Community Education Team will utilize social media and public relationships to educate our community on the health risks of vaping and reduce its usage through videos, flyers, and presentations at local middle schools and community events.
As team mentors, Mr. Alexander Ruper and Antonio Gamboa would like to extend our gratitude for your continued support and efforts to make the integration of community STEM-based activities real and impact-full.
