Be Kind and Considerate: Protect Our Students, Families, and Community from COVID-19.
As members of the Pomona Unified School District, our students, families and staff would like to remind you that we each play an important role as we plan on reopening school sites. Each of us is challenged to do our part in keeping every one of our homes or businesses safe. It is our responsibility to do all that we can in keeping ourselves and our community healthy.
The Community Call to Action
We ask that you join us in adopting the safety protocols put in place to protect ourselves and those around us from COVID-19.
Make the Commitment
As a stakeholder of Pomona Unified School District, I pledge to:
- Protect myself and others in a spirit of generosity. I will keep myself and those around me safe from COVID-19 by wearing a mask, conducting a daily self-screening for COVID-19 symptoms, using hand sanitizer, washing my hands frequently, practicing social distancing, and participating in contact-tracing programs as necessary.
- Practice kindness and good judgement. I will be respectful of others, especially those at highest risk, by helping to keep my personal space and belongings and shared spaces clean, observing protocols for group gatherings, and offering support to those who may be in need.
- Be an advocate. I will promote best practices set in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by following school protocols, monitoring for symptoms, and making smart choices.
It is only by working together, supporting each other, and caring for the health of those around us that we will be able to make a difference.
