Hi STEAMLeads,

I wanted tolet you know that our first Speaker Series is scheduled for Monday, 11/27,at 3:45 pm. The format will be a Q and A with me for the first 35 minutes,then we will open it up to questions from you and the students. Hopefully, thestudents will be engaged. Encourage them to ask questions. Remind the students that theyget an extra raffle ticket for attending. If you are having the studentswatch it from your classroom, please track who was there and let us know.

Our guestspeaker is Kristin Pittman, a coach at The Contentment Foundation. She is ahighly accomplished wellbeing expert with a wealth of experience in the field.With a dedicated career spanning two decades, Kristin has made a huge impact onthe lives of elementary-aged children through her teaching and mindfulnesseducation. Throughout her teaching journey, Kristin recognized the importanceof mental health and wellbeing in the lives of both children and adults. Thisrealization led her to pursue additional training as a mindfulness educator,equipping her with the tools to facilitate transformative mental health andwellbeing sessions for individuals of all ages. Passionate and driven, Kristinis dedicated to inspiring individuals to prioritize their wellbeing. She firmlybelieves that self-acceptance, non-judgmental self-assessment, and recognizingindividual strengths are the fundamental building blocks for addressing life’sexperiences.
