Compassion is an important aspect to the community. With it we unite every individual in our community with these acts of kindness. We hope this video acts as a motivational factor for all members of our community to participate in compassion. Not just in the month of April but year round.

PSA script for random acts of kindness week

Roles:
Skittles Rip-Off Commercial Cast
Email- Maria
)Milly - Jordan
Somebody Else- Vincha
Poppy- Kaitlyn
Mr. Martinez- Mr. Martinez

Opening scene-((films a 5 second view of the street then focuses on the characters with a faraway shoot then gets closer to see actions about 8 steps ahead of the characters))

(On the street)

Poppy: (drops backpack)

Sandra: (Helps with backpack gets up and has skittle pox)

Poppy: (looks up) “oh! You have compassion pox!” (eats compassion skittles) ((zooms out to show that the skittles are on the kid' face))

Second scene-
          (By Bench  eating lunch or something, the lunch is made up of skittles)

Milly: “What grade did you get on Mrs. Monnette’s essay?”

Poppy: “Um, I didn’t do so well. What did you get?”

Milly: “I asked you first”

Mr. Martinez: (comes up and smacks lunch out of Milly’s hand) “HA HA haahha boo hoo”(taunting email)

Poppy: “Hey! Leave him alone”. (compassionately) “You know, picking on others does nothing.” (Picks up email’s lunch tray and gives it to email)

Milly: “Thank you Poppy. That wasn’t so nice.”(At Mr. Martinez) “You should try being more compassionate” (Looks at camera and winks)

Mr. Martinez: “You’re right, I’m so sorry Milly, I wasn’t thinking about how you would feel. I just thought that would be funny.” (picks up skittle from the ground)

Milly: “Oh no, it’s okay” (gives Mr. Martinez a hug as Mr. Martinez eats the skittle)((The camera zooms out to show that Mr. Martinez now has skittle pox)) “My goodness”(takes skittle from Mr. Martinez’s cheek)

Mr. Martinez:“I’m sorry”(frowns)

Milly:“It’s okay I forgive you” (eats skittle)
((Angle changes to show that Millie has compassion pox))

Third scene-(( girls are walking or sitting))
Email: “You’re acting so funny what’s wrong Milly?”(touches Milly’s forehead)

Milly: “I should probably tell you (pauses)This isn’t just my complexion… my doctor says I have compassion pox”

Email: “Compassion pox?” (takes a skittles from cheek and eats it; deep inhale)” Are they contagious?”   (keeps chewing)

Milly: “I don’t think so” (looks away shaking head)

((On screen after)): “Contract the compassion, Taste the compassion”

Vincha: “DId you know that April is compassion month? PUSD hopes to encourage compassion in our schools throughout the district and we want you to be a part of it. After all, compassion is contagious” ((Camera zooms in, they wink))
