The Pomona Migrant Education Program is part of the San Gabriel Migrant Education Consortium providing supplementary services to migrant families. Pomona has over 140 participating students in Pre-K - 12th grades with after school tutoring at selected sites.

This summer, seven students from Pomona Unified were selected to participate in a week long trip to Washington, D. C.   In order to participate the students had to attend eight weeks of Saturday school and perform twenty hours of community service.  The Saturday instruction centered on American History and prepared students to appreciate the sites and monuments that they would visit during the trip.  The Community hours are meant to build awareness of civic duty.
